Welcome to Trinity Episcopal Church, an intimate, multicultural faith community in Charlottesville, Virginia. Founded as a mission to Charlottesville's "colored" community in 1919, Trinity's leading role in the city during the Civil Rights Movement drew a diverse community of worshippers within our doors. We remain a tolerant and welcoming congregation, with a unique worship style that draws on African American and traditional Anglican rituals and observances. We are united by our love for Christ and our dedication to revealing God's "good news" on Earth. We have called a new Vicar, Pastor B. Cass Bailey, who will begin with us on Sunday, July 4, 2010. Until Pastor Cass arrives, we have visiting priests who lead our weekly Holy Eucharist services, and lay ministers who lead Morning Prayer on occasion.
